Instead of the explosive pop of the Gen 3, this tuned design smooths out the response, giving us controllable power when we swing hard, while keeping dinks and blocks from jumping unexpectedly off the face. The foam perimeter expands the sweet spot, eats up vibration, and adds plow-through, which makes long exchanges feel solid from start to finish.
