Gearbox CX14E Elongated Ribbed Core Paddle

The Gearbox CX14E is designed for players who like a thicker and more stable paddle but want to upgrade to Gearbox’s SST ribbed core. The “E” in this paddle’s name stands for elongated, referring to the long and narrow 11” by 7 3/8” 3K woven carbon fiber face. This woven face absorbs impact to limit vibrations and boasts a specific fiber orientation that adds pop and limits torque on off center strikes. The elongated shape of this midweight 8oz paddle is complimented by the long 5 5/8" handle wrapped in a reliable Gearbox Smooth Wrap. This handle comes in two thicknesses (3 5/8", 3 15/16”) and encourages powerful two hand backhands while also providing reach for dinks near the kitchen.

A key to the Gearbox CX14E, and the whole CX14 line, is certainly the 14mm T-700 Carbon Fiber SST Core. This is the same core as the CX11 but with a 3mm thicker build that offers a softer feel and more stability for players who prioritize those attributes. The Solid Span Technology Core (SST) consists of T-700 Graphite chambers that are melted together, creating a single piece core that virtually eliminates dead spots to enhance longevity. This very same core also boasts Hyperbite technology, which are ridges inside the core that compress with the ball on impact to impart spin without breaking down like texture on the face can.
